Chef/Owner, Gourmet for Today
Chef Patricia is a proud graduate of the Classic Culinary Arts Program at the French Culinary Institute, but her joy of cooking began long before that.
While tugging on both of her grandmothers’ skirts in their kitchens: one an accomplished pastry chef, and the other, an owner of small luncheonette restaurant in Upper Manhattan, Chef Patricia was already helping out in the kitchen before she learned to ride a bike! This was followed by an after school job catering in Westchester, NY until she graduated high school.
While those days are long gone, her desire to cook for others is stronger than ever. After college followed by a few years in the corporate world, she realized she missed the kitchen and the pleasures of cooking. Consequently, Patricia decided to attend culinary school and start Gourmet For Today.
Today she dedicates her time to creating delicious, healthy, fun meals for families in the NY/NJ area. She is experienced in all cuisines, including a variety of ethnic cuisines, including Asian, Caribbean, Latino and Mediterranean.
