Broiled Flank Steak

• 
1 Flank Steak
• 
Salt and Pepper (or Steak seasoning)
• 
Oven (broiler)
• 
Broiler pan or broiler-proof baking pan
• 
Chef or Santoku knife (your preference)
• 
Cutting board

Preheat broiler and set rack under broiler

Season steak on both sides with salt and pepper and/or steak seasoning

Place steak on rack on a shallow, broiler-proof baking pan. Your standard broiler pan is perfect

Place under broiler for 5-7 minutes or until nicely browned

Flip to the other side and broil for another 5 minutes or until cooked to desired doneness

Remove from broiler pan onto cutting board

Important: Let rest for 5 minutes

Slice thinly across the grain and on the bias

Serve with oven-roasted potatoes or your favorite side dish
